    Creating, Renaming, and Removing Nicknames

    Nicknames are personal aliases for full e-mail addresses. A single nickname can be used to represent a mailing list.

    1. Select Nicknames from the Tools menu. The Nicknames window is displayed.
    2. To create a new nickname, click the New button. To rename a nickname, select the nickname then click the Rename button.
    3. Type the nickname title in the Nickname dialog, put it on the recipient list if you want, and click OK.
    4. Type the full e-mail address(es) in the Address(es) field.
    5. If you have any comments related to the nickname, type these in the Notes field.
    6. To remove a nickname, select it, then click the Remove button.
    7. Select Save from the File menu to save the nicknames file, or close the Nicknames window and save the changes.

      Note: You can use a nickname in a mailing list. However, that nickname must be created individually in the Nicknames window.

    8. To use your nicknames highlight a nickname by clikcking on it then select either the buttons named 'To:', 'Cc:' or 'Bcc:'. The nickname will be placed into your e-mail message.
