| RESIDENCIES | |||||
IDEA has developed a series of international artists residencies. Whilst in residence, artists become part of the IDEA community, benefiting from and contributing to our experience and expertise through our digital arts labs and training. IDEA began its residencies program by hosting a working group of artists from Artengine online gallery, who worked with Jen Southern from KIT on the Greylands project. Alexandre Castonguay, Scott Weir, Adrian Gollner and Antonio Outon used IDEA's computer facilities to workshop ideas and design concepts, and also participated in M3 courses. Digital artist Natasa Radosavljvic from Belgrade completed a six-month artist-in-residence programme in 2000. During her residency she participated in the Arts Laboratory project ‘Cinema Concret’ as well as multimedia courses. Boyan Dobrev arrived in January 2000 from Sofia Arts Academy, where he is a practicing digital artist and lecturer. During his three month stay at IDEA, Boyan improved his multimedia skills in order to facilitate his own working practice and to further develop the multimedia course. Future collaborations are planned with artists from Switzerland, Canada and Bulgaria. |
