Introduction to the World Wide Web

Have you noticed how everybody seems to have a web site address these days? You see them on billboards, magazines, business cards, and even at the end of your favourite TV show.

The World Wide Web (WWW) module will give you the skills to see for yourself what all the fuss is about. You will become familiar with the Internet browser, which is what you are using to see this page. By the time you have finished this module you will be ready to adapt the browser to your individual needs, and be ready to have fun surfing the WWW.

The World Wide Web is a large place, so to help make surfing more fun we recommend students use Search Engines. Students can learn how to use these in the Search Engines module.
