How will I be taught?
Each of the GO courses is organised into a number of modules, each with
several pages of information, and step by step instructions.
As you progress through the module, you complete tasks which help
you become competent in the new skills you are learning. Take it at your own pace - you are
in control! You can complete the training at home or work, at weekends, late at
night - but unfortunately not while you walk the dog!
How will I be tested?
At the end of each module there are a number of questions to help assess
your progress. Simply complete the exercises and submit them electronically.
There are automated systems in place which enable you
to track your progress at any time during your study.
How will I be supported?
You are not alone. Just because you complete the training from a computer
you don't need to feel isolated. Many students use the GO mailing
list to share information and support each other in their studies. Tutor
input is also available by telephone and email (see Contact GO).
Will my 'phone bill rocket?
Online time can be minimised by downloading the course to your own
computer. The whole course fits on a single floppy disk for easy
portability.
Once downloaded, you only need to go online again to complete your
learning tasks, submit exercises and when you visit the Learner Centre.
